Baby & Me- Tobacco Free Program

Mahoning County Public Health is a provider for the BABY & ME – Tobacco Free Program
The Baby & Me Tobacco Free Program is designed to treat tobacco dependence among pregnant women.  Enrolled participants attend 4 prenatal and 6 postnatal sessions that provide counseling and support for quitting tobacco.
Eligibility:
  • Pregnant
  • Less than 36 weeks’ gestation
  • Currently using tobacco, quit during pregnancy, or quit within 3 months before pregnancy
  • Using any form of tobacco including inhalable products, smokeless tobacco, and e-cigarette/vape products

Participants who meet these criteria and quit tobacco are eligible to receive up to $400 in vouchers for diapers/wipes.  Vouchers are distributed when participants test tobacco-free during prenatal and postnatal sessions.  These vouchers can be redeemed for diapers/baby wipes of any brand, size, or style.

A smoker who lives with the pregnant woman can also enroll in the program and receive additional vouchers once tobacco free.
